Sorry its taken so long to write, ive been really busy. Anyway, ill start from the beginning. The flight took so long. 14 hours from melbourne to doha, and 7 hours from doha to paris. When i arrived at the airport me and the other students from WEP (World Education Program- my exchange organisers) going on exchange went to see the WEP co-ordinater that met us at the airport. when we met him, we had to go strait to catch 3 trains. the trains dont stop for very long, so there was 1/2 of us that got on, and the other half were left on the platform with the wep coordinater. So the WEP person was signalling to us when to get off, and thank god we got off at the rite station. you dont need to have booked tickets for the first 2 trains but you did for the third, and one girl wasnt going to make it for the third train by the time we cought the 2nd one, so we were all sprinting, through the train station for about 15 minuits, up heaps of flight of stairs, and back down them. mind you, we also had our luggage with us. we also had to pass through the ticket booths that barely fit our luggange through them, so some of us got stuck. we finally got on the 2nd train, and were sweating, puffed and exhausted, we had just run a marathon carrying an extera 25kg!!! we got off that train fine, and we then found out that it was quite a walk to the TGV train lines. The wep co-ordinater decided he would run ahead to the train that the girl was going to miss. so it was just us students, running through the station, following the signs (in french) to god knws where! then we came to a part in the station where there were a lot of escalaiters and ways to go, so we asked which way it was to the TGV train. w eventually met the WEP person. He went with a girl to take her to her train, and i was there left with another girl. it was nearly time for my train to depart, so i decided i wouldnt wait for the WEP person to come back otherwise id miss the train. so i went to the rite terminal and found an officer and asked which carriage to get on and he said something in french that i couldnt understand so i went the way he pointed. the trains are so long so after about 10 minuits walking to the rite carriage, i finally got on. it was lucky i got on the right carriage because otherwise, sometimes the train splits in half and one half goes one way and the other goes another way. the train ride took 2 hours. i got off, and my host familly greeted me and so did my local coordinater from WEP. it was so hard to speak french so i struggled heaps. they speak so fast that i cant understand a word they were saying. when we got home i was shown around the house and my room. we sat down to a nice dinner and by then it was 10:00pm and the sun had just set. we all watched some tv, and at about 11:30 we went to bed.
